Tomasi Estate, since 1947

Nestling in the Prosecco hills, a candidate for UNESCO recognition as a World Heritage Site, the wine grape growing farm of Gianfranco Tomasi is situated in an exclusive sun-kissed position surrounded by Nature, although just a stone’s throw from the urban area of Corbanese.

A feather in the cap of local viticulture, it is a perfect example of how tradition and innovation can go hand in hand to create the best production.

To reach this peaceful oasis, take the main road through Via Borgo Molini, Corbanese di Tarzo; after a short uphill ramp the magnificent building that houses the winery appears in all its glory. The house develops around a courtyard and has preserved all the elegance of days gone by.

The careful restoration work done by the owner Gianfranco Tomasi exalts the elements surviving from the past, which are now guardians of a priceless heritage of history and local tradition that testify to the activities carried out within these walls.

Before today’s management the business had been run since 1948 by Gianfranco’s father, Vittorio. In 2007 his son, an oenologist, took over the reins. The estate comprises six hectares under vines which mature to produce prime quality Prosecco
(semi-sparkling and sparkling), Treviso DOC and DOCG, Cabernet and Merlot IGT Colli Trevigiani, and Pinot Gris. Although the estate is still a family run concern (Gianfranco works with his wife Paola and mother Amelia) it is expanding rapidly: Italian aficionados are increasing, but not only; customers come from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where they count on our excellent quality. Over the next year production will increase and Verdiso and Chardonnay will be introduced.
